LILACS
In late spring and early summer the sweet perfume of lilacs fills the air in neighborhoods all over northern New Mexico. These super-hardy shrubs are in the olive family and are highly tolerant of clay and alkaline soils. They prefer a spot in full sun to very light shade and regular watering to produce the best vigor and bloom.
