Chances for afternoon thunderstorms increase across southeast NM Saturday afternoon and evening due to a upper level system interacting with higher moisture. If a storm were to become strong to severe, it would occur in Cuury and Roosevelt County. There is still significant uncertainty to the northward extent of the highest moisture and instability across the caprock in eastern NM. Elsewhere, virga showers and dry storms could produce erractic wind gusts and dry lightning across north central NM.
