Am I strong enough to use the Uber?Generally, if you can use a traditional press you can use the Uber. The unique design takes advantage of your body weight. As you lean into and press down on the print roller your force is amplified more than 8 times. Furthermore, since you use only one blanket, less force is required to print the plate than a traditional press using three blankets.
•
Are replacement parts available? All Uber parts are stocked in quantity and sold separately. If repairs are ever needed all replacement parts can be shipped fast via UPS or FedEx and easily installed by the user. The Uber is designed for a lifetime of use. Should an accident occur, your investment is secure with original Uber replacement parts.
•
How do I adjust the pressure?Pressure is regulated three ways: 1) More or less force applied by the user; 2) Beam height: a higher beam height supplies less leverage and force on the print roller; 3) Blanket selection is the simplest and easiest way to adjust pressure. A thinner blanket will produce more pressure than a thicker blanket. For high pressure plates use blanket #1, and where less pressure is required use blanket #2 or #3.
•
How much time is required to set up the Uber Mobile out of the travel case? Some assembly is required, and where possible thumb screws are used. You should allow 20 minutes to unpack and attach the platen support wings and optional leg stand.

Teachers can store the print roller separately from the press, controlling it's use.
•
Is the Uber difficult to use?The Uber is easy to operate and a lot of fun . Most people master the basics after just a couple of prints. Printing on the Uber is straightforward requiring very few adjustments. One beam height setting will accomodate almost all plate types and blanket combinations, from Mylar to Zinc. The large platen with registration grid makes paper placement and registraion easy for papers 22" x 30" or smaller.

Is the Uber Table Press easy to move? The Uber Table Press can easily be transported with legs attached in a small truck or van. Special corner brackets are provided to remove the table legs if needed. Is the Uber Table Press stable? The table is light weight and rigid. The heavy gauge steel legs are designed to spring to level accomodating uneven floor surfaces. The accessory table provided with the Uber Workstation has a steel center beam making the table strong enough to support weight in excess of 200 pounds.
•
What maintenance is required? The Uber is designed to be virtually maintenance free. The platen and table top should be kept clean using any plastic cleaner. A light application of furniture polish on the table top will keep the platen sliding smoothly and extend the life of the Melamine finish. The solid stainless steel print roller and bearings require no oiling. The print roller should be kept clean using soap and water or rubbing alcohol.
•
Why don't you get lines or roller marks? The Uber's specially designed print roller has no edge. Overlapping the roller passes prints the image much like an ink jet printer, one 3" line at a time.
•
Will my Uber prints look any different? No, prints made on the Uber are indistinguishable from a traditional press. You get the same embossed plate edge.
