Whole-House Conditioning Systems for City and Well Water

Note: All the solutions described below may be used in City (including regulated, communal systems), Well (including wells within city limits) and Commercial applications. The secret to successful water treatment is understanding water chemistry.

Hague WATERMAX® Water Conditioner for City Water

Hague WATERMAX® Water Conditioner for City Water

  • Certified as a unit (not just one or more components) under NSF Standard 44 National Sanitation Foundation Intl. nsf.org
    • Look for our local "competition" on this website.
  • Multi-compartment tank is specifically designed for city water applications.
  • Chlorostat, whole-house self-cleaning filter for dirt, sediment and chlorine taste and odor reduction
  • Filters dirt and sediment to a nominal 20 microns - smaller than the eye can see
  • Bacteriostat inhibits bacteria growth in the resin bed.
  • Provides carbon filtration to reduce tastes and odors.
  • High-capacity, fine mesh resin, vacuum packed for maximum hardness reduction
  • High flow rate: 13-gpm at 15-psi pressure drop
  • Regeneration cycle as short as 12 minutes
  • Uses as little as 16 gallons of water per regeneration
  • This unique design is built in America, has seven US patents and comes with a 25-year limited warranty.
  • This system uses potassium chloride rather than sodium chloride.
    • A healthier alternative for consumers concerned about limiting their sodium intake
    • Adds beneficial potassium (and no sodium) to drinking water
    • Acts as a plant nutrient
    • Reduces the amount of chlorides discharged into the environment
  • Removes free chlorine and total chlorine
  • Removes organics
  • Removes hardness and heavy metals
  • Also NSF-certified for barium and radium reduction

Hague WATERMAX® Water Conditioner for Well Water

  • Certified as a unit (not just one or more components) under NSF Standard 44 National Sanitation Foundation Intl. nsf.org
  • Multi-compartment tank specifically customizable for well water applications
  • May be easily customized for the following problem water conditions:
    • Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) - "rotten egg" odor
    • Iron removal
    • pH neutralization
  • Bacteriostat inhibits bacteria growth in the resin bed
  • Filters dirt and sediment to a nominal 20 microns - smaller than the eye can see
  • High flow rate: 11.2 gpm at 15-psi pressure drop
  • Regeneration cycle as short as 12 minutes
  • Uses as little as 24 gallons of water per regeneration
  • This unique design is built in America, has seven US patents and comes with a 25-year limited warranty.
  • Uses potassium chloride rather than sodium chloride

Drinking Water Systems

Hague 3500TM Reverse Osmosis (RO) System
  • Certified as a unit (not just one or more components) under NSF Standard 58
National Sanitation Foundation Intl.
  • Certification is even more important for drinking water systems as NSF provides contaminant-specific average percentage rejection rates.
    • Non-certified RO systems commonly have as few as one NSF-certified component.
    • Non-certified RO systems commonly use "meets or complies with" statements to mislead the customer that the system is NSF-certified.
    • Non-certified RO systems commonly provide a generic list of contaminant reduction claims.
  • Uses no electricity (permeate pump powered by water pressure).
  • Because of its permeate pump, the Hague 3500TM uses far less water than conventional systems.
  • The Hague 3500TM is the only system with sufficient pressure to accommodate Sub-Zero refrigerators, ice makers and multiple spigots.
  • Fills holding tank up to five times faster!
  • Backed by a 25 year limited warranty
  • Good Water Company can add a re-mineralization filter to raise pH and enhance flavor.
  • Post-system ultraviolet (UV) protection against bacteria is available.
Ask Good Water Company how the Hague 3500TM drinking water system can provide your household with bottled-water quality without wasteful and inconvenient plastic bottles!

Whole-House Reverse Osmosis (RO)

This option, which is the most expensive type of treatment, is applied almost exclusively to wells (both private and commercial) where extreme water contamination makes it the only option. In such cases, whole-house RO is the only option other than hauling in water. Re-drilling the well is usually not a viable option unless there are geologic and engineering studies which indicate that the well can intercept an aquifer with improved water quality.
  • Whole-house RO systems are customized on the basis of laboratory test results.
  • Pre-treatment, which is also based on laboratory test results, may be required ahead of the RO.
  • RO is the most effective ways of removing some contaminants.
  • RO water is remineralized to raise pH and enhance flavor.
  • Post-system ultraviolet (UV) protection against bacteria is available.
  • 1:1 product-to-waste water ratio is attainable.
  • Waste water can be used for "gray water" applications.

Contaminant-Specific Solutions

Many water contaminants require very specialized treatment options which are not available through other companies. On wells with multiple contaminants, and especially as pre-treatment for whole house reverse osmosis, other stand-alone systems may be required.

Ask Good Water Company for options to treat:
  • Sediment
    • Good Water Company is your exclusive dealer for LAKOS sand separators.
  • Bacteria
    • Good Water Company is your exclusive dealer for Trojan Technologies Inc. ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology.
  • Iron and Manganese
  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) - "rotten egg" odor
  • Arsenic
  • Nitrates
  • Radionuclides

Planning Ahead for Water Purification

Virtually all the systems summarized above can be installed in existing homes and businesses, provided space is available. The biggest limitation for well applications is the size of the existing well pit or well house.

Existing Construction
  • Ask us about retrofitting equipment at your home or business. We have developed some very innovative installation techniques and we are usually able to accommodate your space requirements
  • From point-of-use drinking water purification systems to whole-house conditioning, there is a Good Water solution for every home and business.

New Construction
  • If you're in the process of planning or building a new home in the Santa Fe area, there is no better time to add a water quality improvement system.
  • By making the smart choice now, you can assure a long-term, low-maintenance, high quality water supply for the future.
  • Consult your architect, builder or contractor to incorporate our water systems in your design.
