Who we are

An Independent, locally owned, general and travel specialty bookstore and brewery in Santa Fe, New Mexico located due east of the plaza in the oldest part of Santa Fe.

We are a prime resource for local recreational information for exploring the nearby national forests, wilderness areas and parks. We custom print full scale USGS Maps for the entire USA.

Under single ownership since creation in 1998 by Greg Ohlsen and Ellen Stelling founders of Garcia Street Books in 1990!

Albuquerque-based food historian Tom Hughes set out to write up the stories of New Mexico's food, history and heritage sites as a statewide travel guide, a saga covering about 15,000 years after living and eating here for about 30.
